ShowBiZ Kids & Dance Company, located at 44 Darby's Crossing Drive, Suite 208,   Hiram, GA 30141 (formerly Cobb Community Dance Theatre) is currently enrolling for the 2008  season, but space is limited!

ShowBiZ Kids & Dance Company, Hiram, GA offers a wide variety of classes for all your interests. Classes are available for all skill levels from beginner to professional.  Ages 2 years through adult.  Private lessons are available. All of our staff are certified.

Shirley W. Smith, Owner/Director

Mrs. Smith has been teaching for over thirty years.  She teaches tap, ballet, jazz, Irish step, lyrical, creative movement, gymnastics, modeling, acting, voice and piano.  Her studio not only focuses on all areas of dance, but is recognized in the theatrical training and productions all her students are educated in.

Stephanie Hopkins

Stephanie earned her BS degree from Kennesaw State University and has danced since she was 5 years old.  She choreographed "Bugs Bunny" review at Six Flags over Georgia and is a featured vocalist with Six Flags over Georgia.  Stephanie teaches jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop beginner and advanced, musical theater, voice and fitness

Heather Knight

Heather, originally from New York, has been tappin' and twirlin' since the age of 3.  She is a graduate of Lassiter High School.  Heather was a member of the Altanta Workshop Players where she performed at middle and high schools throughout the Atlanta area.  After attending Kennesaw State University, she left her southern roots and headed out for the high seas.  She worked for Jean Ann Ryan Productions on Norwegian Cruise Lines as a dancer and dance captain.  She performed in "Grease",  "Sea Legs Express",  "Masquerade", "Hooray for Hollywood",  "On Broadway",  and "Puttin on the Hitz".  Her sea legs then brought her to castle stage at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World where she perfomed in the Mickey Mania Parade and Sparkling Christmas Spectacular.  She also got to fulfill every little girl's dream portraying "Cinderella".  With her dreams achieved, she came back to Atlanta to continue educating the youth of our future in the arts.  She has been teaching the art of dance since 1999 where she has achieved many honors including choreography awards both regionally and nationally.

Paul Bruschi

Paul began studying ballet at the age of 14 with the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre while attending high school.  He was accepted on full scholarship at age 16 in the pre professional program with the Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education and trained there for 2 years.  He was accepted on full scholarship in 1997 to Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.  Paul has studied ballet with Robert Barnett, Cynthia Harvey, Jennifer Byokawski, Ron Tassone, Martha Goodman, Susan Stowe and Stanisav Issaev.  While in college, Paul perfomed in many ballet productions including The Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella and Alice In Wonderland.  Paul currently performs as a guest artist yearly with Atlanta Dance Theatre, Northeast Altanta Ballet Ensemble, and Covington Regional Ballet.  He has been a guest artist with Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and North Atlanta Ballet Theatre.  He also teaches ballet, jazz, lyrical and ballroom dance throughout metro Atlanta.  Paul is a current company member with The Georgia Ballet in Marietta

Whitney Hanes

Whitney is a seasoned dancer/singer/actress.  She trained extensively with the Barbara Bramble Dance Center from the age of 4 and continued her training with the Atlanta Ballet, Rhythm Dance Center, Broadway Dance Center (New York) and Pebblebrook High School (Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts).  She has won numerous dance scholarships and titles, including those from Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, Starpower, and Rising Star.  Whitney has appeared in many professional theatrical productions, including the national tour of The Will Roger Follies, movies, industrials and commercials and has sung the National Anthem multiple times for the Atlanta Brave and the Atlanta Hawks.  She is also an experienced dance teacher and choreographer.
